We systematically examined the mass spectra and their two-body hadronic decays of the beauty-charm meson family considering coupled channel effects. Our results can effectively explain the observed   $B_c$   meson spectrum, and the prediction of the mass spectrum for unobserved beauty-charm mesons can be tested in future experiments. Compared with previous studies, we systematically examine the beauty-charm meson family within the coupled channel components. The   $B_c$   state in beauty-charm meson family has few percent of coupled channel component, while the   $B_c$  ,   $B_c$  , and   $B_c$   states have more than ten percent of coupled channel component. The two-body hadronic decay widths of the   $B_c$   state is as narrow as 3 MeV. The two-body hadronic decay widths of   $B_c$  ,   $B_c$  ,   $B_c$  ,   $B_c$  ,   $B_c$  , and   $B_c$   are approximately 109, 67, 60, 57, 201, and 76 MeV, respectively. Furthermore, the mixing effects between   $B_c$   and   $B_c$   states are discussed.

Beauty-charm meson family with coupled channel effects and their strong decays  

Effective field theory (EFT) provides a model-independent framework for interpreting the results of dark matter (DM) direct detection experiments. In this study, we demonstrate that the two fermionic DM-quark tensor operators   $(\bar{\chi} {\rm{i}}\sigma^{\mu\nu} \gamma^5 \chi) (\bar{q} \sigma_{\mu\nu}q)$   and   $(\bar{\chi} {\rm{i}}\sigma^{\mu\nu} \gamma^5 \chi) (\bar{q} \sigma_{\mu\nu}q)$   can contribute to the DM electric and magnetic dipole moments via nonperturbative QCD effects, in addition to the well-studied contact DM-nucleon operators. We then investigate the constraints on these two operators by considering both the contact and dipole contributions using the XENON1T nuclear recoil and Migdal effect data. We also recast other existing bounds on the DM dipole operators, derived from electron and nuclear recoil measurements in various direct detection experiments, as constraints on the two tensor operators. For   $(\bar{\chi} {\rm{i}}\sigma^{\mu\nu} \gamma^5 \chi) (\bar{q} \sigma_{\mu\nu}q)$  , our results significantly extend the reach of constraints on the DM-quark tensor operators to masses as low as   $(\bar{\chi} {\rm{i}}\sigma^{\mu\nu} \gamma^5 \chi) (\bar{q} \sigma_{\mu\nu}q)$  , with the bound exceeding that obtained by the Migdal effect with only contact interactions by approximately an order of magnitude. In particular, for the operator   $(\bar{\chi} {\rm{i}}\sigma^{\mu\nu} \gamma^5 \chi) (\bar{q} \sigma_{\mu\nu}q)$   with DM mass   $(\bar{\chi} {\rm{i}}\sigma^{\mu\nu} \gamma^5 \chi) (\bar{q} \sigma_{\mu\nu}q)$  , the latest PandaX constraint on the DM electric dipole moment puts more stringent bounds than the previous direct detection limit. We also briefly discuss the constraints obtained from experiments other than direct detection.

Comprehensive constraints on fermionic dark matter-quark tensor interactions in direct detection experiments  

Decay constants of pseudoscalar mesons D,   $ D_s $  ,   $ D_s $   and vector mesons   $ D_s $  ,   $ D_s $  ,   $ D_s $   are determined from the   $ D_s $   lattice QCD at a lattice spacing   $ D_s $   fm. For vector mesons, the decay constants defined by tensor currents are given in the   $ D_s $   scheme at   $ D_s $   GeV. The calculation is performed on domain wall fermion configurations generated by the RBC-UKQCD collaborations and the overlap fermion action is used for the valence quarks. Comparing the current results with our previous results at a coarser lattice spacing   $ D_s $   fm provides a better understanding of the discretization error. We obtain   $ D_s $   with a better precision than our previous result. Combining our   $ D_s $   MeV with the total width of   $ D_s $   determined in a recent study gives a branching fraction   $ D_s $   for   $ D_s $   leptonic decay.

Charm physics with overlap fermions on 2+1-flavor domain wall fermion configurations  

The b-factories, such as BelleII, BarBar, and LHCb, emphasize the increasing importance of exotic hadron research. In this paper, we discuss the possible production of singly anti-charmed pentaquark states   $\bar{c}q qqq$   from B mesons in a b-factory under   $\bar{c}q qqq$  (3) symmetry analysis. Discussions of both possibilities have been driven by the hypothesis that the pentaquark state considered in this work, known as the lowest lying state   $\bar{c}q qqq$  , could be bound or unbound. We find the golden channels for the production of the pentaquark ground states, such as   $\bar{c}q qqq$  . We further estimate the branching ratios for the production of the ground states   $\bar{c}q qqq$   from B meson decays. Thus, multiple channels are available for experiments, which may remove certain obstacles to the discovery of new pentaquark states.

Study of singly anti-charmed pentaquark production in -factory  

Heavy flavour production in proton-proton (pp) collisions provides insights into the fundamental properties of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). Beauty hadron production measurements are widely performed through indirect approaches based on their inclusive decay modes. A Bayesian unfolding data-driven analysis of the ALICE and LHCb data was performed in this study, which recovers the full kinematic information of the beauty hadrons via different inclusive decay channels. The corresponding beauty hadron production cross sections obtained after the Bayesian unfolding are found to be consistent within their uncertainties. The weighted average open beauty production cross sections are presented as a function of the transverse momentum and rapidity in pp collisions at   <math> <msqrt> <mi>s</mi> </msqrt> </math>  $$ \sqrt{s} $$  = 5.02 TeV and   <math> <msqrt> <mi>s</mi> </msqrt> </math>  $$ \sqrt{s} $$  = 13 TeV, respectively. The p T-integrated open beauty production dσ/dy and the total   <math> <mi>b</mi> <mover> <mi>b</mi> <mo>¯</mo> </mover> </math>  $$ \textrm{b}\overline{\textrm{b}} $$  cross section   <math> <msub> <mi>σ</mi> <mrow> <mi>b</mi> <mover> <mi>b</mi> <mo>¯</mo> </mover> </mrow> </msub> </math>  $$ {\sigma}_{\textrm{b}\overline{\textrm{b}}} $$  are also reported. The precision of these results significantly improves upon worldwide measurements, providing valuable validation and constraints on mechanisms of heavy flavour production in pp collisions at the LHC energies.

Data-driven analysis of the beauty hadron production in pp collisions at the LHC with Bayesian unfolding

Galilean and Carrollian algebras acting on two-dimensional Newton-Cartan and Carrollian manifolds are isomorphic. A consequence of this property is a duality correspondence between one-dimensional Galilean and Carrollian fluids. We describe the dynamics of these systems as they emerge from the relevant limits of Lorentzian hydrodynamics, and explore the advertised duality relationship. This interchanges longitudinal and transverse directions with respect to the flow velocity, and permutes equilibrium and out-of-equilibrium observables, unveiling specific features of Carrollian physics. We investigate the action of local hydrodynamic-frame transformations in the Galilean and Carrollian configurations, i.e. dual Galilean and Carrollian local boosts, and comment on their potential breaking. Emphasis is laid on the additional geometric elements that are necessary to attain complete systems of hydrodynamic equations in Newton-Cartan and Carroll spacetimes. Our analysis is conducted in general Cartan frames as well as in more explicit coordinates, specifically suited to Galilean or Carrollian use.

One-dimensional Carrollian fluids. Part I. Carroll-Galilei duality

We project the reach of future lepton colliders for measuring CKM elements from direct observations of W decays. We focus our attention to |V  cs | and |V  cb | determinations, using FCC-ee as case study. We employ state-of-the-art jet flavor taggers to obtain the projected sensitivity, and scan over tagger performances to show their effect. We conclude that future lepton collider can sizeably improve the sensitivity on |V  cs | and |V  cb |, albeit the achievable reach will strongly depend on the level of systematic uncertainties on tagger parameters.

Direct CKM determination from W decays at future lepton colliders

The 4D-5D connection allows us to view the same near horizon geometry as part of a 4D black hole or a 5D black hole. A much studied example of this phenomenon is the BMPV black hole uplifted to 6D with flat base space versus Taub-NUT base space. These black holes have identical near horizon AdS3 × S 3 geometry. In this paper, we study modes in AdS3 × S 3 and identify those that correspond to supersymmetric hair modes in the full black hole spacetimes. We show that these modes satisfy non-normalisable boundary conditions in AdS3. The non-normalisable boundary conditions are different for different hair modes and for different asymptotic completion. We also discuss how the supersymmetric hair modes on BMPV black holes fit into the classification of supersymmetric solutions of 6D supergravity.

Supersymmetric black hole hair and AdS3 × S3

We study the decay of the false vacuum in the regime where the quantum field theory analysis is not valid, since gravitational effects become important. This happens when the height of the barrier separating the false and the true vacuum is large, and it has implications for the instability of de Sitter, Minkowski and anti-de Sitter vacua. We carry out the calculations for a scalar field with a potential coupled to gravity, and work within the thin-wall approximation, where the bubble wall is thin compared to the size of the bubble. We show that the false de Sitter vacuum is unstable, independently of the height of the potential and the relative depth of the true vacuum compared to the false vacuum. The false Minkowski and anti-de Sitter vacua can be stable despite the existence of a lower energy true vacuum. However, when the relative depth of the true and false vacua exceeds a critical value, which depends on the potential of the false vacuum and the height of the barrier, then the false Minkowski and anti-de Sitter vacua become unstable. We calculate the probability for the decay of the false de Sitter, Minkowski and anti-de Sitter vacua, as a function of the parameters characterizing the field potential.

Gravitationally dominated instantons and instability of dS, AdS and Minkowski spaces

A method for calculating the 1/d expansion coefficients for solutions of integration by parts relations for Feynman integrals is presented. The idea is to use linear substitutions to transform these relations to an explicitly recursive form. A possible type of such substitutions is proposed for the case of vacuum integrals. Its applicability is shown for several families of massless (with one massive line) vacuum integrals up to the 7-loop level.
