Abstract The decays governed by the flavor-changing-neutral-current (FCNC) transitions, such as , provide an important tool to test the physics in and beyond the Standard Model (SM). This work focuses on investigating the FCNC process . Being an exclusive process, the initial and final state meson matrix elements involve the form factors, which are nonperturbative quantities and need to be calculated using specific models. By using the form factors calculated in the covariant light-front quark model, we analyze the branching fractions and angular observables such as the forward-backward asymmetry , polarization fractions (longitudinal and transverse) , CP asymmetry coefficients , and CP-averaged angular coefficients , both in the SM and in some new physics (NP) scenarios. Some of these physical observables are a potential source of finding the physics beyond the SM and help us to distinguish various NP scenarios.

Abstract We study the -ray signal emitted from dark matter (DM) pair annihilation in the Higgs portal Majorana fermion DM model. In the model, a Majorana fermion DM  couples with the Standard Model (SM) Higgs field  through a higher-dimensional term , where  is a cutoff scale [1]. The pair annihilation of  through the above term produces the Higgs boson and the longitudinal modes of  gauge bosons. The Milky Way dwarf spheroidal satellite galaxies (dSphs) are used as the most promising targets to search for the -ray signal of the model, due to high DM density and lack of astrophysical backgrounds. The Fermi Large Area Telescope (Fermi-LAT) is used for the search, for its high sensitivity [2]. In this work, we use 14-year Fermi-LAT data from 16 dSphs, to constrain the DM pair annihilation cross section for the DM mass range from 125 GeV to 100 TeV.

Indirect Detection for Higgs Portal Majorana Fermionic Dark Matter

Abstract In this work, we have established the relations between the T-even proton transverse-momentum-dependent parton distributions (TMDs) at all twist levels up to twist-4 using the light-front quark–diquark model. From the parameterization equations of TMDs, we have found that there are multiple ways by which a particular TMD can be expressed in terms of the initial and final helicity states of the proton. For the first time, we have presented a parameterization table that can be applied to the derivation and recognition of proton TMDs based on their helicity. We have constructed the linear and quadratic relationships of TMDs at the intra- and intertwist levels within the same model. We have also looked at the inequality relations that TMDs follow. Additionally, to provide easy access to the calculations, amplitude matrices have been expressed in the form of TMDs over all the possible helicities of the diquark.

TMD Relations: Insights from a Light-Front Quark–Diquark Model

Abstract We present a comprehensive study of an extended SU(5) grand unified theory (GUT) that incorporates a 45D Higgs representation to address the shortcomings of the minimal SU(5) GUT, such as the inability to generate realistic fermion mass hierarchies and insufficient proton stability. By considering a hierarchical mass spectrum for the scalar components of the 45D Higgs, we demonstrate that successful gauge coupling unification (GCU) can be achieved. The color octet scalar, color triplet scalar, and color antitriplet scalar play crucial roles in realizing GCU when their masses are significantly lighter than other components of the 45D Higgs. We focus on the proton decay channels mediated by the exchange of the color antitriplet scalar. Assuming that the 45D Higgs couples to all three generations of fermions, we determine the 45D Higgs Yukawa couplings with which the observed fermion mass matrices at low energies are realized. We calculate proton decay rates using the Yukawa couplings obtained from renormalization group evolutions and matching conditions at the GUT scale, thereby exploring the dependence of proton decay rates on model parameters. We find that the  mode imposes the most stringent constraint on the mass of the color antitriplet scalar . We also study the correlations between the lower bounds on  derived from different proton decay modes.

Proton Decay and Gauge Coupling Unification in an Extended SU(5) GUT with 45D Higgs

Abstract We investigate the dynamics of fast neutrino flavor conversions (FFCs) in the one-dimensional (1D) and zero-dimensional (0D) models, in which spatial advection is considered and ignored, respectively. In this study, we employ snapshots obtained by our self-consistent, realistic Boltzmann-neutrino-radiation-hydrodynamics simulations. We show that the FFC growth rate is considerably larger in the 1D model than in the 0D model, as expected from the previous linear analysis results. We find that the momentum space dimension does not significantly influence the neutrino transition probability in 1D models. On the other hand, in the 0D model without collisions, the FFC depends on the momentum space, and the azimuthal angle dependence breaks the periodicity of the FFC. Our study demonstrates that collisional instability can lead to further flavor conversions on a long timescale in 1D models after the asymptotic state of FFC has been reached. Such an effect should be taken into consideration when the fast and collisional flavor instabilities coexist.

Systematic Local Simulations of Fast Neutrino Flavor Conversions with Scattering Effects

Abstract The Berezinskii–Kosterlitz–Thouless (BKT) transition of the two-dimensional  model on the honeycomb lattice is investigated using both the techniques of Neural network (NN) and Monte Carlo simulations. It is demonstrated in the literature that, with certain plausible assumptions, the associated critical temperature  is found to be  exactly. Surprisingly, the value of  obtained from our NN calculations is 0.572(3), which deviates significantly from . In addition, based on the helicity modulus, the  determined is 0.576(4), agreeing well with that resulting from the NN estimation. It will be interesting to carry out a more detailed analytic calculation to obtain a theoretical value consistent with the numerical result reached here.

Berezinskii–Kosterlitz–Thouless Transition of the Two-Dimensional Model on the Honeycomb Lattice Lectures on the spin and loop ( ) Models

Abstract We investigate a simple-sum giant graviton expansion of the superconformal indices of  superconformal field theories realized on D3-branes probing 7-brane backgrounds with constant axio-dilation field. The expansion is of self-dual type, and imposes strong constraints on the indices. By using the constraints we determine the first few terms in the superconformal indices for arbitrary rank .

Inductive Calculation of Superconformal Indices Based on Giant Graviton Expansion

Abstract We propose two versions of radiative linear seesaw models, where electrically charged scalars and vector-like leptons generate the Dirac neutrino mass submatrix at the one- and two-loop levels. In these models, the Standard Model charged lepton masses are generated from a one-loop-level radiative seesaw mechanism mediated by charged exotic vector-like leptons and electrically neutral scalars running in the loops. These models can successfully accommodate the current amount of dark matter and baryon asymmetries observed in the universe, as well as the muon anomalous magnetic moment.

Models of Radiative Linear Seesaw with Electrically Charged Mediators

Abstract In order to measure integrated luminosity with the required precision of  at the  pole, the proposed CEPC  collider requires a luminometer, a specially designed calorimeter placed in the very forward region to identify Bhabha scattering at low polar angles. Usually, such a device is placed at the outgoing beams, to keep the spatial symmetries of the head-on collisions at accelerators with a nonzero crossing angle. At CEPC it is currently proposed to place the luminometer on the z-axis. We review the feasibility of measurement of the integrated luminosity at the  pole with the required precision, focusing on the luminometer centered around the z-axis and the post-CDR beam properties.

Metrological Uncertainties in the Integrated Luminosity Measurement with the Updated Design of a Detector at CEPC CEPC Accelerator General Status Overview: Talk given at the 2023 International Workshop on CEPC (EU Edition)

Abstract Random tensor models have applications in a variety of fields, such as quantum gravity, quantum information theory, mathematics of modern technologies, etc., and studying their statistical properties, e.g. tensor eigenvalue/vector distributions, is interesting and useful. Recently some tensor eigenvalue/vector distributions have been computed by expressing them as partition functions of 0D quantum field theories. In this paper, using this method, we compute three cases of complex eigenvalue/vector distributions of symmetric order-three random tensors, where the three cases can be characterized by the Lie-group invariances, , , and , respectively. Exact closed-form expressions of the distributions are obtained by computing partition functions of four-fermi theories, where the last case is of the “signed” distribution, which counts the distribution with a sign factor coming from a Hessian matrix. As an application, we compute the injective norm of the complex symmetric order-three random tensor in the large-N limit by computing the edge of the last signed distribution, obtaining agreement with an earlier numerical result in the literature.
